IODDfinder

The IODDfinder is a central tool for anyone working with IO-Link. It simplifies supplier independent the search, selection and integration of IO-Link devices, thus contributing to more efficient and flexible automation. 

The IODDfinder is a web based database service of the IO-Link community, the single and cross-manufacturer service for IODDs (IO Device Descriptions).

  • Efficient Cross-manufacturer search: It offers a centralized repository of IO-Link device information from multiple vendors. No need for searching for each device description individually. 

  • Centralized information source: All device descriptions with the relevant information for an IO-Link device are consolidated in the IODDfinder. Different access capabilities over web or API are given. 

  • IODDviewer: The IODDviewer included in the IODDfinder provides direct access to device documentation and makes it possible to view and browse the content of an IODD directly in the browser without having to install additional software. Figure out the capabilities of an IO-Link device directly!

How does the IODDfinder work? 

  • The IODDfinder is a service of the IO-Link Community.
  • Manufacturers of IO-Link devices provide their IODDs in the IODDfinder.
  • The IODDs are centrally stored and indexed.
  • Users can search for devices or properties via an intuitive user interface.
  • There are also interfaces (APIs) that allow software tools to automatically access the IODDs.
